Christ vs Krishna – “Diamonds Die” [Free Download]
On March 2nd in Toronto, Canada, rock act Christ vs Krishna is celebrating the release of their debut full-length effort, Sidewalk Astronomy, with a headlining show at the The Velvet Underground. There is much abuzz about the act’s funky mix of vintage brit-pop and new wave rock music and rightfully so… it’s pretty damn gnarly!
The Skinny: On March 2nd in Toronto, Canada, rock act Christ vs Krishna is celebrating the release of their debut full-length effort, Sidewalk Astronomy, with a headlining show at the The Velvet Underground. There is much abuzz about the act’s funky mix of vintage brit-pop and new wave rock music and rightfully so… it’s pretty damn gnarly!
With influences the likes of the Ramones, The Cure, Joy Division, The Jesus and Mary Chain, Michael Jackson and even Bollywood, this quartet’s front man and visionary, Pank Bagga, pens tracks that are bursting with hooks, ambience and as much rhythm as possible. As with their 2009 debut EP, this new effort was produced by Jay Sad and Dean Marino at Chemical Sound (Tokyo Police Club, The Born Ruffians). Sidewalk Astronomy dropped in the US and Canada on January 1st and now the 2 minute long first single, “Diamonds Die”, is free to you! Enjoy the download and grab the full album either digitally or physically.
