FireSky – “Erase The Enemy” [Song Stream]
FireSky was started by Shae Padilla, former lead guitar player of major label all-girl band KSM. Shae has toured in arenas all over the USA, and was invited by Flyleaf to be a guest guitarist in 2006. It was always her dream to have a heavy alternative rock band made up of solid female musicians, a dream she can now call a reality.
The Skinny: FireSky was started by Shae Padilla, former lead guitar player of major label all-girl band KSM. Shae has toured in arenas all over the USA, and was invited by Flyleaf to be a guest guitarist in 2006. It was always her dream to have a heavy alternative rock band made up of solid female musicians, a dream she can now call a reality.
The band is comprised of three more hard rocking women, from three different countries. Veteran drummer, Tokyo native, and Musician’s Institute Alumnus, Kio K captivates audiences immediately with her hard-hitting beats and passion for music. Brenda Mejia, originally from Orange Country, California, rocks the bass and stage with an energetic performance that’s undeniably contagious. FireSky is completed by Anni Sutinen, all the way from Helsinki, Finland. Anni was on Finland’s X Factor, and has a voice that has been compared to Pink and Lzzy Hale. Her meaningful lyrics, and memorable melodies compliment the bands heavy riffs, and dynamic music perfectly.
With an average age of just 21, this 4-piece shows skeptics that their age and gender are nothing to be scoffed at. FireSky is not only ready to plug in and rock out, they’re determined to change the way women in rock are viewed. Check out this wicked new track, “Erase The Enemy”!
