In 2008, I Killed The Prom Queen made one final trek across the globe in what was billed as their Say Goodbye Tour. The band had decided to call it quits but not before they took their original lineup out on the road for one more jaunt. Sleepless Nights & City Lights is the result of that tour and it captures all of the energy and momentum of the band and the crowd.

The fourteen songs on the CD portion shows the band in top form. Perhaps it was their looming demise or maybe the desire to give there fans something to remember them by, but whatever the case, band tears through the set list with reckless abandon leaving one to imagine a venue full of sweat soaked fans begging for more.

As far as live albums go this one is very well recorded. Often times live albums are hard to decipher amongst the crowds and do not capture the essence of the band on the stage. That is not a problem here as everything including the occasional banter with the crowd is audible.

The DVD portion includes ten live songs by the band as well as in depth interviews with individual member discussing their rise, break up and the possibility of a return.

At the end of the day I feel this is a good overall package that truly captures what this short lived band was all about and is a must have for fans of I Killed The Prom Queen.  [ END ]
