Metallica – “The Videos 1989-2004” [DVD Review]

We’ve heard the tunes and now we get to see the videos. I’ve always wanted a Metallica video compilation, and now I have one. This is a great addition to any die-hard Metallica fans and their collections. And a fantastic starting point for any lame-wad that doesn’t know much about these Metal legends!

We’ve heard the tunes and now we get to see the videos. I’ve always wanted a Metallica video compilation, and now I have one. This is a great addition to any die-hard Metallica fans and their collections. And a fantastic starting point for any lame-wad that doesn’t know much about these Metal legends!

It’s one thing to create great metal music in it’s true form, but also another to make the accompanying video work very well. Fortunately enough, Metallica seem to have worked with the right people since day one and as a result almost all of their videos are entertaining. Images used in their videos commonly interpret their lyrics, and the band is always present in a performance style rather than actors themselves.

There may not be one bad video in this collection, but rather some not so nice looking hairstyles. Oh how the ‘80s will always be known for its hair! But then again, in the end it’s always about the music. Once again this is a great add-on to any Metallica or metal collection. If you dig the videos, I suggest you read about how they came to be on Wikipedia; you’ll be amazed about some of the facts you’ll find out. To end here is a retrospective look at Metallica’s music videos… damn they have so many! Here’s the track listing.
