Austin, Texas-based electronic punk twosome, Street Sects have returned with a new 12-inch titled Rat Jacket with a stream of the track “Blacken The Other Eye.” The record is a four song thrashing, with brisk samples and melodic turbulence. The group are not far away from the 2016 release of their well-received album End Position. The four song collection delves into topics of loyalty, trust, betrayal, paranoia, and the innate selfishness of man to create a gritty EP. Street Sects formed in 2013 after singer Leo Ashline finally emerged from a 13 year battle with addiction and began positive musical collaborations with his friend and instrumentalist Shaun Ringsmuth.
