PANIKK Unleash a Thrash Attack with New Single “Sedated in Utopia” [Exclusive Premiere]
Panikk are gearing up to release their new studio album, Discarded Existence, and we’ve got a taste of the new aural assault via this premiere of new single “Sedated in Utopia.”
Ljubljana, Slovenia’s thrash metal quartet, Panikk are gearing up to release their new studio album, Discarded Existence, on March 15th, 2017 via Xtreem Music and today, we’re offering you a taste of the new aural assault with the premiere of new single “Sedated in Utopia.” Discarded Existence is the group’s sophomore full-length and was recorded over the course of 2016.
Said the band of the new studio recording: “Discarded Existence will be more mature than the debut, but will continue to be energetic, dynamic and fast. In terms of the lyrics, the idea of ‘Discarded Existence’ is very much a literal link between all the songs. They all follow the main theme of wasted potential, from powerful political machines (“Rotten Cells”) or leaders (“Instigator of War”), narcissists (“Eyes Don’t Lie”) to addicts and nobodies (the title track and “Sedated in Utopia”), even terrorists (“Reconstruction”), and the ever controversial question of abortion (“Individual Right”).”
Discarded Existence Track Listing:
01. Instigator of War
02. Sedated in Utopia
03. Under Pretence
04. Individual Right
05. Rotten Cells
06. Discarded Existence
07. Eyes Don’t Lie
08. Reconstruction
09. Outro
