Blue Statue Explore Trust and Freedom in “So to Speak” Music Video [Premiere]
Taken from their recent double A-sided single, London noise-rock band Blue Statue’s video for “So to Speak” is premiering here.
London alt-indie/post-punk band Blue Statue explore existence, trust and freedom in their new video for “So to Speak”. The video is for the track taken from their recent Double A-Side single “V.F / So to Speak” which dropped on October 23rd and is quickly seeing the band being lauded as one of the most exciting new bands on the London rock scene.
The band had this to say about the inspiration behind the song: “part of the video is about being caught in a loop and to be careful what you wish for.”
Heavily influenced by the great bands of the garage-rock, post-punk and noise-rock persuasion, and having previously worked with the likes of legendary producer Joe Foster (Jesus & The Mary Chain, Primal Scream, and My Bloody Valentine), inspiration is also drawn from looking out into a world of art and philosophical enquiry to bring eternal themes such as existence, trust and freedom into the context of modern life.
The double A-sided single is out now and you can pick it up here.
