Rico Wade, Legendary Organized Noize Producer, Dead at 52
The family of legendary music producer Rico Wade has released a statement following his unfortunate passing this week at the age of 52.
The family of legendary music producer Rico Wade has released a statement following his unfortunate passing this week.
“We are deeply saddened by the sudden and unexpected passing of our son, father, husband, and brother Rico Wade. Our hearts are heavy as we mourn the loss of a talented individual who touched the lives of so many. We ask that you respect the legacy of our loved one and our privacy at this time.”
Wade was a highly regarded writer and producer as a member of the Atlanta production team Organized Noize along with his partners Ray Murray and Sleepy Brown. He co-wrote smash hits such as TLC’s preeminent 1995 single “Waterfalls.” He was also a member of the Dungeon Family collective. Some of the alums of the collective include OutKast, Goodie Mob, Killer Mike, Janelle Monáe, and Future.
Wade was 52. No cause of death was revealed.
