Arlo Parks Enjoys Sold-Out Commodore Ballroom with Opener Chloe George [Photos]
English artist Arlo Parks brought her “Soft Machine Tour” to a sold-out Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver, BC, with opener Chloe George.

English artist Arlo Parks brought her “Soft Machine Tour” to a sold-out Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver, BC, on March 7th.
On the fourth date of the tour and her first-ever Vancouver concert, the indie pop artist showed the Vancouver fans her soft and harmonic vocals, her dominant stage presence and how much she felt the music while performing.
With up-and-coming singer/songwriter Chloe George as the opening act, the show was off to a great start. Chloe captivated the crowd with her sweet presence and rich vocals. She started her set with “Glad You Came” from her latest album, A Cheetah Hunting in Slow Motion. In what is her first-ever tour, and first time in Vancouver, although her set was just eight songs long, that was enough to delight the crowd and surely get new fans. Chloe George is an artist that should be on everyone’s radar.
Arlo Parks had an interesting old-looking studio recording machine on set to enhance the fans’ visual experience. Her voice and presence took all the attention away from any other artifact on set.
Parks started her set with “Bruiseless,” the first track of the album Soft Machine. Her on-stage presence is so powerful that you can see her emotions pouring all over the stage and infecting every soul in the building.
She continued her set with “Weightless,” then “Blades,” and quickly stopped to mention that it was her first-ever sold-out show. She kept going with her set, and as an introduction for her song “Dog Rose,” she said this song is about a love story in New York.
The concert had to be stopped for not long while she was performing “Devotion” when, all of a sudden, a fan fainted but was helped right away after a few minutes. Arlo Parks made sure that everyone was OK and good to go, so she restarted the song and finished it but had to return to the stage to sing one last song and she chose “Softly” as the encore.
