KRIS BARRAS BAND releases new single “Savages” and brings all-new, arena-sized grit to 2024 with their new album ‘Halo Effect.’
One of modern hard rock’s most exciting breakouts in recent years, KRIS BARRAS BAND are bringing all-new, arena-sized grit to 2024 with their new album Halo Effect, set for release on April 12, 2024, via Earache Records. KRIS BARRAS BAND shares their latest single, the accessible earworm “Savages,” and its official video.
It’s a song for the everyman about being looked down upon by a higher power, whether it be political, societal, or commercial. It is about taking that disdain, uniting against it and wearing it as a badge of honour.
Frontman Kris Barras elaborates:
“‘Savages’ is definitely one of the more ‘out-there’ tracks on the album for us. We wanted to push the boundaries of what we have done previously, particularly production-wise and this track is a perfect example of that. Blending more electronic elements in with the usual KBB big riffs and sing along chorus, this track has become one of my favourites from the new album.”
Barras directed and edited the video, with his good friend and long-time collaborator Tommy Rowe taking care of the video production. Barra’s explains, “After releasing a couple of solid performance-based videos, we really wanted to mix it up on this one by doing something more cinematic and with a narrative throughout. We were going for a ‘Stranger Things meets Quentin Tarantino’ vibe with the look and storyline… the alternate realm takes influence from the ‘Upside Down’ in Stranger Things. Actress Kiara Leigh absolutely nailed the role. It was an intense few days getting this one done, battling against lots of issues including a blown generator and severe weather conditions!”
KRIS BARRAS BAND is heading on tour starting in April, they will also headline the historic Chepstow Castle on August 15, 2024, with support from Stone Broken, The Hot Damn!, and Dan Byrne.
