On the night of January 31st, the multi-platinum Danish star Christopher brought his “A Beautiful Life” world tour to the Hollywood Theatre in Vancouver, BC. The tour, which is Christopher’s first world tour, is named after his latest album, which served as the soundtrack for Netflix’s original film with the same title, where the artist made his debut as an actor, having the leading role.
With the melodic acoustic help of the opening act, British Columbia’s own Jade LeMac, the audience was set for a great show.
The Danish started his set with the song “Honey, I’m so High,” one of my favourite songs of the album. The high energy delivered by the performance was unmatched. The night was special for Christopher, not just because he was performing in Canada, but because it was the night of his 32nd birthday. The band played “Happy Birthday” for him, and the crowd sang along, with some Danish fans singing “Happy Birthday” in Danish right afterwards.
The night continued with a mixture of his latest hits and old and not-so-old ones, like “Leap of Faith,” “Ghost,” and “Irony.” To close the show, Christopher decided to solo on the piano and sing “A Beautiful Life,” but he had to call the band right after so they could all play one last song to the crowd, who was dancing and singing all the songs word for word.
