Hustle Souls Releases New Single “I’m Making A Deal”
“I’m Making a Deal” is Hustle Souls’ newest single, and the first glimpse into their self-titled album coming December 20th.
“I’m Making a Deal” is Hustle Souls’ newest single and the first glimpse into their self-titled album coming December 20th. Based out of Asheville, North Carolina, Hustle Souls trades on the Americana genre with a nostalgic flair. Their instrumental prowess and thought-provoking songwriting make one take note. Their sound pays homage to New Orleans brass, Caribbean rhythms, and Motown soul with a hit of gospel.
Singer and multi-instrumentalist Billy Litz delivers a raw vocal performance accompanied by effortless guitar playing. The lyrics speak of regret and redemption while the vocals soar with haunting harmonies as the accompaniment becomes increasingly complex. The song’s ending is reminiscent of its beginning—but with a new, triumphant flair.
“I’m Making a Deal” showcases intellectual lyricism as it is loosely inspired by Kazuo Ishgiros’ masterpiece, The Remains of Day. This deceptively light-sounding song has surprisingly deep lyrics that will cause you to ponder.
A must-listen for all lovers of Americana, blues, and soul—“I’m Making a Deal” is available for streaming now. Dive into the single and mark your calendars for the full album release this December.
