Orlando-based psych-rock outfit Timothy Eerie drops their new single/music video, “Toad Venom,” a track from their imminent album Work Free Drug Space.

Speaking about the song, Timothy Eerie says, “The title of the song is based on the venom of the Sonoran Desert toad, which contains 5-Meo-DMT, the strongest psychedelic known to man.”

Like many psychedelic rock bands, Timothy Eerie has been a revolving door of musicians and contributors, enhancing their aura of mystery, certified by sharing the stage with Starcrawler, Of Montreal, La Luz, Dead Meadow, Surfer Blood, Kikagaku Moyo, and L.A. Witch.

Traveling on elements of punk and visceral, punishing garage rock, “Toad Venom” envelops listeners in layers of humming, thrumming, frenzied, lysergic textures. A pummeling rhythm infuses the tune with blistering, careering motion as if preparing to drive off a cliff.

The video offers a surreal visual trip through a hallucinogenic panorama replete with frogs, a small child, and esoteric occult symbolism.

Unrelenting, raw, and demonically powerful, “Toad Venom” delivers the feeling of sliding down the rabbit hole with Alice.
