The newest LP from ChiaraOscuro is available now via Nefarious Industries. A Tour supporting the latest drop starts on October 7th and will cover ground from Los Angeles to Seattle.
The album’s genesis was a transformative experience for ChiaraOscuro. Rancor:Succor emerged as an evolution of her artistic expression during rehearsals for shows to promote her first EP. As older layers shed and newer ideas surfaced, a distinct direction unfolded.
Reflecting on the pandemic’s impact on her creative process, ChiaraOscuro shares:
“A lot of my music deals with the shadow and all of the feelings that normally don’t get talked about and that otherwise wouldn’t have a place to go, other than the refuge of art.”
The singer praises label head Greg Meisenberg for his unwavering support and encouragement. “Nefarious Industries is fearless about supporting artists who are making authentic, interesting music.” she remarks. The label’s commitment to artistic integrity aligns seamlessly with ChiaraOscuro’s vision, allowing her to incorporate multimedia elements such as the art booklet and hand-illustrated poster that accompany “Rancor:Succor,” as well as the short experimental film that serves as the album trailer.
