Billboard-charting Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter, guitarist, and pianist Kian Blume releases his new single/lyric video, “Parasite.”

Blume explains, “‘Parasite’ is essentially about falling in love with someone that you know isn’t good for you.”

In 2019, Blume broke through with the release of his debut single, “Stop the Show,” which took the 17th slot on Billboard’s Dance chart. Since then, he’s released a series of singles, including “Daphne,” “Basic” and “Not Alone.”

Opening with Blume’s cappella voice, “Parasite” flows into a swing-laced pop melody dripping with hints of portentous flavours. Dark, ominous accents fill the chorus with foreboding overtones, emphasizing the dire, toxic nature of the temptation confronting the narrator, a sinister attraction he recognizes yet finds oh-so irresistible.

Blume’s vocals infuse the lyrics with the enticing thrill projected by the object of his desire, succeeding in only intensifying her tantalizing traits.

Humming with wicked throbbing energy, “Parasite” simmers with the aroma of animal appetites and excited pangs of carnal hunger.
