L.S. Dunes – “Benadryl Subreddit” [Song Review]

Back in November of 2022, L.S. Dunes gifted the world with their first-ever album, Past Lives. Ever since then, the supergroup, comprised of Anthony Green (Saosin, Circa Survive, The Sound Of Animals Fighting), Frank Iero (My Chemical Romance), Travis Stever (Coheed and Cambria), Tim Payne (Thursday) and Tucker Rule (Thursday), appears to have been quickly picking up steam.

Showing no signs of stopping, the band has recently unveiled even more new music. Not only is “Benadryl Subreddit” (get the song here) the strangest pairing of words you’ll likely hear this week, but it’s also the name of their latest single.

The product of an Iero-concocted riff, “Benadryl Subreddit,” serves up a gut punch of high-octane punk. Supported by rich bass and hammering drums, the song showcases many of the band’s strongest elements with bravado.

Green yells with a firey passion, chanting a refrain like a rallying cry, “We won’t go back ever again.” In contrast, however, the chorus provides listeners a moment to bask in Green’s beautifully unique vocal timbre as he soars effortlessly through musical phrases.

The fresh single comes coupled with an unhinged video packed with plenty of cameos from family and friends.

In case that isn’t enough, the band announced that fans can anticipate a documentary, ‘Limitless Sky.’ Documenting their time recording at Rancho De La Luna in Joshua Tree, part one of ‘Limitless Sky’ is expected to land on June 27th.

There is certainly no shortage of excitement in the Dunes world right now.
