Sky of Fire Unveils its Indie-Rock Rich Self-Titled Debut
Sky of Fire, the brainchild of Toronto-based songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Phil Davies, has released its self-titled debut album today, May 9th, 2023.
Sky of Fire, the brainchild of Toronto-based songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Phil Davies, has released its self-titled debut album today, May 9th, 2023, through all major streaming platforms, including Spotify and Apple Music. Described as anthemic, uplifting indie rock, his songs are recorded in collaboration with session singers from Nashville, Los Angeles, and Toronto.
The album deals with the struggles of losing a parent and the adversity that follows their death. Ultimately, however, the album is about finding yourself again through music, as featured in the lead-off single, “Yourself,” an indie rock banger that serves as a reminder that our lives are a blank canvas for us to paint.
The album also features several high-octane rockers, including the second single, “Disappearing,” with its soaring chorus and frenetic pace, as well as piano-infused ballads, such as “Don’t Forget Today,” with its uber-emotional chorus. Sky of Fire proves that if it’s not every adult’s dream to pursue their passion, then maybe it should be.

2. Disappearing
3. The Light Through the Dark
4. Don’t Forget Today
