This past Monday, Boston/Brooklyn music artist Carissa Johnson played to a packed crowd and made her full band debut in Paris, France, supporting rock band The Last Internationale at Trabendo. Her backing musicians were Boston, MA-based drummer Ryan John and Detroit, MI guitarist Tanya Venom.

Johnson’s known for her Boston rock n roll sound infused with pop synth elements akin to classic bands like Joan Jett, The Replacements and more modern acts such as Metric, Muna and Pom Pom Squad.

Carissa is currently in promotion of her Blue Hour album—which includes the “Middle of Nowhere” single—which came out in the Fall of 2021 via A Diamond Heart Production. She’s currently in the studio working on her next record and is set to release a remixes EP this summer (TBA).

Prior to this overseas performance, Carissa did a string of solo dates in Europe and the UK back in 2018 with record producer and songwriter Vanessa Silberman.
