Little Destroyer Drops Provocative “xbar” Music Video

Today, Little Destroyer shares the unhinged new video for “xbar” taken from late last year’s 1134. Blurry and provocative, the new video directed by Heather Saitz shares a tantalizing glimpse into the debaucherous world of Little Destroyer tour antics, and electrifying live performances. The trio has also announced B.C. tour dates supporting Dune Rats and Chastity this month.
Produced by Howard Redekopp (Mother Mother, Tegan and Sara, The New Pornographers) 1134’s blistering collection of tracks sees the enigmatic Vancouver-based threesome at their dramatic grunge-pop best; a powerful sonic explosion of pent-up fury and ’00s breezy pop-punk energy of seminal bands like The Kills and Yeah Yeah Yeahs.
On stage, frontwoman Allie Sheldan is a dynamic shapeshifter, at times mirroring the unbridled chaos of a 1970’s Iggy Pop, while at other moments, like a blue light, introspective and vulnerable. Brothers Michael and Chris Weiss complete the band with huge beats and livewire guitar antics respectively, rounding out the sound and bringing the type of bond (and rhythm section) that only siblings can.
Little Destroyer is proof that creating a pop-punk blitzkrieg is just as much about love and connection, as it is spit and spectacle. The band is working on new music and looks forward to hitting the road in 2023.
Upcoming Tour Dates:
Feb 10 – Victoria, BC – Wicket hall
Feb 11 – Vancouver, BC – The Rickshaw
Feb 12 & 13 – Whistler, BC – Garfinkel’s
