Wildlife Freeway, the artist moniker of songwriter Sunny Atema, released a new video for the song “Fox,” out today off her recent debut album, ‘Sunny.’
Wildlife Freeway, the artist moniker of songwriter Sunny Atema, released a new video for the song “Fox” out today off her recent debut album, Sunny, produced by Alex Ebert. The album arrived in full on all streaming platforms on May 7, 2022.
The video was filmed at a secret hot spring in Southern California and includes paper mache masks handmade by Sunny and Sasha for the video.
Sunny describes the song FOX as:
“an invitation to carnal courage. Fox is a tiny tasty musical movie that peers into the adventures of one who surrenders to the majesty of the night forest, abandoning the daylight self, seeking her wild Fox companions who live and love and sleep on the Earth. They dance between delight and desire with happiness and curiosity, till the daylight comes.”
Sunny showcases striking sounds, widening awakening and wonder. Wildlife Freeway tours with her upright piano, performing intimate songs that explore interconnectivity, reverence, story and perception. In January 2020, just before the pandemic, the album was written and recorded by Sunny, produced and accompanied by Alex Ebert (Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros).
