“Come Back” and Keep Revisiting Netty Rose’s New Single/Music Video Premiere
Netty Rose deliver the goods with the premiere of the sort-of-animated, sort-of-live-action clip for their new single “Come Back.”
There are few, maybe no, things more beautiful than rock n’ roll. This is why, when you get a healthy batch of new rock n’ roll offerings, you best not balk at what’s reaching out to you. Netty Rose is serving it up today with their brand new, sort-of-animated, sort-of-live-action clip for the new single “Come Back.”
The single is here for you now, but you’ll also be able to find it on the group’s new EP, Beautiful Things, upon its February 10th, 2023 release. That’s still a while out, so it’s nice to have something nice and groovy to rock out to, which is how you might best describe “Come Back.” The release of Beautiful Things will be a defining moment for the band, that musical landmark where an act learns to take that next step forward toward creative fulfillment and commercial appeal.
Discussing the writing of the song and what it means to him, bassist Rudy Coviello says:
“‘Come Back’ is perhaps the most fun we had writing a song on Netty Rose’s new Beautiful Things EP. It’s a pop/rock tune about the trials and tribulations of love and relationships. Whether it’s yearning for lost love, working to keep love alive, or navigating the roller coaster emotions of love that most will relate to the message of this song. That is the knowing that one day love will always ‘come back’ to where it is supposed to be.”
When it comes to their band, the members of Netty Rose keep it all in the family. Rudy leads the quartet, along with his twin sister Annette, or as she is more affectionally known, Netty. The two had been accumulating a pile of musical ideas for years now, and when they brought these ideas and demos to producer and close friend Chris Badami (The Early November, The Starting Line), the creative juices really began to flow. It helped that the band recently solidified its lineup with guitarist Jason DeGeorge, a longtime friend of Badami’s and an accomplished musician who has played with Hanson and Ben Harper.
Where Netty Rose is now is a far cry from where they started in 2014, a confident, self-assured, hard-working band willing to put the time and the effort in.
