Brampton, Ontario’s multi-platinum R&B artist, Roy Woods has dropped “Insecure,” his first solo single/music video of 2022, via OVO Sound. The single was produced by Harv, known for his work on the Justin Bieber track “Peaches” [feat. Daniel Caesar & Giveon].

Per a recent press release, “The track’s lightly plucked guitar ebbs and flows with the romantic rise and fall of his falsetto. His dynamic vocals provide the perfect soundtrack to the accompanying music video; a nod to the Robert Rodriguez-directed nineties cult classic feature film Desperado. Roy pays homage to the iconic Antonio Banderas antihero with his trick guitar case and thirst for vengeance.”

“Insecure” is the first taste of Roy’s upcoming studio album, Mixed Emotions, which is slated for a summer 2022 release.
