Progressive, genre-fluid artist 93FEETOFSMOKE drops his new single, “OH NAH OH NAH,” featuring Kamiyada+, a track about character, integrity, and the outcome of excessive avoidance on relationships.

Talking about his sound, 93FEETOFSMOKE shares:

“It’s a big twist of culture. My music is the intersection of skateboarding, fashion, the Crunk-era, and pop-punk. It’s all uncut and unfiltered. I’m not trying to control everything and make it perfect and pristine. It’s a less-perfect vision of everything. It’s important for me to allow things to be the way they are. It’s real.”

He goes on, adding,

“I came up in the hip-hop scene. The vision of 93FEETOFSMOKE was very influenced by that. There are guitars, but it’s not suburban white boy band music. It comes from different experiences. It’s honest.”

“OH NAH OH NAH” blends elements of alt-rock, hyper pop, EDM, and trap metal, and utilizes harmonic vocal skramz, pitched guitars, and new age drum & bass production.

Originally from Virginia, and now based in Oregon, in the third grade 93FEETOFSMOKE began playing a cheap guitar plugged into a teeny-weenie amp. In junior high school, he joined the jazz band, followed by playing in local bands that soon kicked him out because he “didn’t want to stick to the script.”

In college, he immersed himself in the underground club scene in North Carolina, where he got involved in drum and bass, which led to teaching himself Ableton. He began to produce for friends, followed by performing.

He explains, “I was just yelling my head off over loud 808s and weird beats. Because people showed up, it gave me the confidence to keep going.”

While working with Lil Lotus, shinigami, family pet, and Guardin, he dropped solo outings like 2k16 Pack, 2k17 Pack, 2k18 Pack, and BUMMER.

Teaming up with Savage Ga$p on “Pumpkins Scream In the Dead of Night,” which blew up, he collected more than 69 million streams on Spotify, as well as 10 million views on YouTube.

“OH NAH OH NAH” opens on sleazy synths topped by 93FEETOFSMOKE’s melodic voice, which ramps up to a snarling rasp. A thick, vibrating bassline and crisp percussion give the rhythm potency. When Kamiyada+’s backing vocals join in, the lyrics take on scorching intensity.

With “OH NAH OH NAH,” 93FEETOFSMOKE hits the bullseye, delivering delicious ebbing and rising vocals.
