RubyGld Smoke Celebrates Black Love with Debut Album ‘Revolutionary Love’
Fresh off their dynamic music video debuts, pop music duo RubyGld Smoke have released their debut album, Revolutionary Love, on November 19th. Revolutionary Love takes listeners on a sixteen-track journey of the couple’s love story as the two produced and wrote the album together in their home studio during the COVID-19 pandemic. The project is a culmination of various vibes that the husband and wife team are personal fans of, creating their own unique soundscape of Pop-Soul. Releasing under the duo’s own label, Quiet Kingdom Recordings, the album’s title harkens to well known African-American philosophy, which states the most revolutionary thing a black man and woman can do is love each other. “When we love one another truly, we become an unstoppable force of change for the better.” – T. L. Williams of RubyGld Smoke
Revolutionary Love will include the duo’s two hit singles already released this year, “Throw Away Tonight” (winner of international film award Global Shorts Best Music Video) and “Falling” – each which have been featured in taste-making publications like HYPE Magazine, V13, GigSoup, ThisIs50, and Muze FM, among others. Fans (which are affectionately called GLDMembers) can purchase an exclusive limited edition bundle from their website RubyGldSmoke.com. Limited edition Vinyl, along with CD’s, merchandise and other goodies will also be available for the fan experience with a portion of the proceeds benefitting the non-profit founded by the duo, Symphony Of Change, to help revitalize arts programs in schools.
“The album hopefully will serve as an inspiration for our generation in terms of love and relationships in today’s social climate. In our community one of the ways we fight injustice is with love.” – Dani Jo Williams of RubyGld Smoke
