Toronto’s KNIFEY Share Their Sharp New Single and Music Video, “Ask You”

Toronto area rockers, KNIFEY have dropped a new single and music video titled, “Ask You.” The song is lifted from the group’s forthcoming sophomore full-length recording, Sleepwalker, which will see them continue to meticulously mix elements of alternative, punk, and surf rock.

According to the band. “‘Ask You’ was inspired by the love for a supportive partner. This song is about the gratitude we should all feel for the people that make us better, but also the insecurity that appreciation can bring when we look back at our own lives and ask if we are worthy of that love.”

Regarding the track’s recording and how it came to be, KNIFEY elaborates, “This song went through many changes during the recording process. It was almost completely reworked and nearly scrapped altogether, yet now it is one of our favourite songs on the album. Nixon Boyd (Hollerado, Anyway Gang, Little Junior) recorded “ask you” with us at Banquet Sound. He was very involved and supportive, creating an amazing experience for us.”
