Swiss Garage Punks BAD MOJOS Aim to “Commit A Crime” on Their New Music Video [Exclusive Premiere]
Coming at you straight from the land of Swiss chocolate, Bad Mojos have returned with more of their Voodoo Rhythm Records lo-fi garage punk via the premiere of their “Commit A Crime” music video.
Coming at you straight from the land of Swiss chocolate, Bad Mojos are a trio of dudes with bad attitudes and a new music video for their single “Commit A Crime”. The clip, which we’re stoked to premiere, follows an audacious cop who messes up a drug bust involving three punk rockers and, as a consequence, let’s just say learns a hard lesson.
Taken from the band’s debut record, I Hope You OD (available to pre-order here), drummer and vocalist Julio Blanco commented on the single as follows: “Listen to the song, listen to the lyrics. Think for yourself, but…drugs!”. With regards to the video, Blanco added, “Here’s the proof that you can tell a great story in a 2:23-minutes long DIY-Video. I mean what’s not to like about three dogdy guys, packaging weed and beating up a copper? Fucking cool shit! We should be drowning in awards soon I tell ya.”
Formed in 2015, Bad Mojos play three-chord punk rock and combine it with absolutely ridiculous lyrics that you can only play at maximum volume. The group spread their attitude around to European audiences before Voodoo Rhythm Records took notice and signed them. The group members will often perform with ski masks on which emphasizes their brash sound all the more. If you’re looking for classic misfit-level punk to combat what the hi-fi, safe and easygoing pop that everyone else is listening to, then you’ve found the right band.
Another rad, recent video, you’ve gotta check out Bad Mojos’ “Police Car”.
