Released today, June 1st, via Sony Music Entertainment Canada, “goldfinger” is the hypnotizing new single from Montreal-based artist and multi-instrumentalist, laye. The new tune, which follows the previously-released jam, “likefck”, was produced by Lauren Christy (G-Eazy, Dua Lipa) and Federico Vindver (Jennifer Lopez, Lauryn Hill, Pitbull) and further showcases the artist’s apt aural awesomeness (aka, she makes damn-fine music and sings just as well).
Quite new to the scene, it’s been about three years since she began penning her tunes, laye’s dark and dreamy aesthetic will only serve to quickly build an eager following as she works towards a debut full-length recording slated for a 2019 release. Head below for some “likefck” and check out the new track above, of which laye notes:
“I believe that the feeling behind a song is equally as important as the lyric. Often times I have connected songs to moments based on the feeling alone.”
What you waitin‘ fer? Stream “goldfinger” now!
Take yourself higher, friend. No? Well, “likefck”!
