Ahead of the May 25th release of their debut album, Crooked Castle, Vol. I, plus their celebratory album release show at New York’s Mercury Lounge that same day, Brooklyn rockers Damn Jackals have unveiled their banging new “Beretta” video. The song’s video follows the previous single and title track “Crooked Castle” which debuted via PopMatters and may be streamed just below. “Beretta” is a noisy rocker of a tune which perfectly captures the quintet’s punky indie/garage rock sound.

Commenting on the song and video, lead singer and guitarist Beau Croxton notes:

“‘Beretta’ is hands-down my favorite Damn Jackals track from this record. The whole ‘Beretta’ theme is a not necessarily about a gun, but a metaphor for a bad ass woman; a weapon against the rest of the world, and hopefully your lucky enough to have one on your team. It was spontaneous in the studio – it came together so well and so fast. Regarding the video: we did a number of shots on Coney Island – a real legendary NYC treasure. We loved engulfing Coney Island into a fun and cheeky VHS-punk aesthetic. We absolutely adore everything about playing this live – from the ‘ah-ah’s’ to the shrieking guitar solo.”

1. Stop N’ Cop
2. Beretta
3. Street Magic
