Toronto post-punk trio Whimm have released a track called “Town Hall,” the feverish first song from the band’s upcoming release.
Toronto post-punk trio WHIMM have released a track called “Town Hall,” the feverish first song from the band’s upcoming release. WHIMM‘s debut LP includes contributions from producer Dean Tzenos of Odonis Odonis, Anna Mayberry of HSY/Anamai, and electronic artist Scott Hardware.
The band’s singer and guitarist Mounir Chami cryptically summed up the song by saying, “I think about discussion and question if I’m physical enough. I switch from being passive to active, between different ways and beliefs. Try listening to both sides’ needs.”
WHIMM worked with producer Dean Tzenos, mastermind of abrasive industrial punks Odonis Odonis to capture the feverish sound encapsulated on this debut.
