Bad Llama – “Shedding Skin EP” [Album Review]
If you like your records to get better with each listen then Shedding Skin might be right up your street. Read our review here…
Shedding Skin, the new record from UK-based rock act Bad Llama, is one of those records that seem to sort of grow on you, what I like to call a slow burner. There is no denying that all four songs on here have groove and the ability to shake your body but it was only after a few listens that I think I really appreciated all that was going on in these tunes.
Best described as a sound somewhat reminiscent of 90’s era rock with a more atmospheric, modern twist, the songs are not overcrowded and they seem to breath allowing the listener to really take in every little nuance. In doing so the band members are able to really put on a show and the listener will find things like fantastically tasteful lead guitar parts running through the record.
At the end of the day, this is an EP that gets better every time I listen to it. Give this one a spin you won’t regret it.
