Deftones – “Doomed User” [Song Review]

The Deftones require no introduction. If you know anything about hard rock, then you’ve been rocking out to this groundbreaking band for nearly the past twenty years now. The group has returned with GORE, their eighth studio album and follow up to 2012’s Koi No Yokan. One of the real stand out tracks on the record is the second single “Doomed User.”

To put it as simply as possible, this track fucking rocks. It’s an all-out scream fest brought to you by the distinctive yells of lead singer Chino Moreno. I’ve always preferred it when Moreno lets it all out a la the chorus of “My Own Summer (Shove It)” or “Back To School” and there is no holding back with “Doomed User.” I don’t know how it could be but judging by this sick new track, Deftones sound better than ever, which is certainly saying a lot.
