SCHAMMASCH Share New Track “Maelstrom” via YouTube; Reveal Fall 2016 European Tour

The Skinny: Avante-garde extreme metal outfit Schammasch have released yet another new track from their upcoming epic release Triangle out via Prosthetic Records on April 29. Split into three separate compositions which reflect the three steps towards achieving a fulfilled state of being – Part 1 ‘The Process of Dying’ (depicting the experience of loss, change and acceptance through death), Part 2 ‘Metaflesh’ (depicting the balance between earthly life and the spirit world) and Part 3 ‘The Supernal Clear Light of the Void’ (representing ones’ final state, the mastering of the ego – a state of freedom) – the bands newest offering “Maelstrom” (featured on Part 3), was lauded by Decibel as “a compelling, thought-provoking and cerebral listening experience” and can be heard below.

Schammasch have also revealed plans for a late Fall jaunt across Europe supporting Greek extreme metallists’ Rotting Christ alongside black metallists Inquisition and Mystifier. The band will next be seen performing two special appearances in their home country of Switzerland surrounding the album’s release later this month.
