The Best of 2015 According to Photojournalist Jett White
My taste in music is about as diverse as it can get. I listen to everything from Adele to Anthrax and Shakira to Slipknot. I don’t have any guilty pleasures because, despite how others feel, every genre contains talented artists that deserve recognition for their work. In my opinion, this year has brought many outstanding albums that deserve not only acknowledgement but praise. For me, these albums are:
1) Fall out Boy – American Beauty/American Psycho
2) The Hollywood Vampires – Hollywood Vampires
3) Bring Me The Horizon – That’s The Spirit
4) Melanie Martinez – Cry Baby
5) Twenty One Pilots – Blurryface
6) Escape the Fate – Hate Me
7) Bullet for my Valentine – Venom
8) Butcher Babies – Take It like A Man
9) New Year’s Day – Malevolence
10) The Relapse Symphony – Born To Burn
This is the third time I’ve rewritten this list. There were too many great releases to include only ten. The aforementioned are top picks, but honorable mention also goes to Falling in Reverse – Just Like You, Marilyn Manson – The Pale Emperor, Sleeping with Sirens – Madness, Papa Roach – F.E.A.R, Slayer – Repentless, Jordan Sweeto – Evil Little Genius, and Get Scared – Demons. This year was great for new album releases and next year is starting to look that same with upcoming material from Panic! At the Disco and Danzig.
