They Say Fall – “Deadlights” [Song Review]
“Deadlights,” the new track from UK rockers They Say Fall sees the band live up to the praise being given to them by the metal press.
Described as “genre-benders,” it is fair to say that North Lincolnshire post-hardcore chaps They Say Fall jam enough into the four minutes of their new single, “Deadlights,” to keep you on your toes. One minutes they’re wringing out the kind of sound that wouldn’t sound out of place on a Muse album, then all of a sudden they’re pumping out some Fall Out Boy-style pop rock before the band flip the switch again lurching into some crunching post-hardcore riffing.
While it does mean the end result is fairly bonkers, “Deadlights” does grab your attention which, for an up-and-coming band like They Say Fall, is certainly a step or two very much in the right direction.
Run Time: 3:46
Release Date: August 17, 2015
