Scranton, Pennsylvania is where you’ll most likely find this alternative rock band writing, recording, or playing a local venue. Known as A Social State, Ed, Jon, CJ, and Nick are a four piece consisting of members whom where each in various local Scranton bands which would each ultimately dissolve giving way to this new collaboration. With a desire to produce rock music ripe with melody, intensity, and emotion, it wasn’t long before A Social State were releasing new music. To date the band has released one EP (Self-Titled), one full-length album (Everyone’s Your Friend), and are now on the verge of dropping their sophomore LP (How To Get To Heaven). Recorded in Port Jefferson, New York at Vudu Studios, How To Get To Heaven was produced by Steven Haigler, known for his excellent work with band the likes of: The Pixies, Fuel, The Dear Hunter, Local H, Brand New, and many more. Be on the lookout for the new album when it drops on September 6, 2014.
