Thoughts In Reverse – “Sightings” [EP]

Sightings is the debut release from the progressive hardcore/metal outfit Thoughts In Reverse. This EP is a heavy, explosive, seriously-punishing offering that is sure to please all kinds of extreme music fans. Personally I’m a big fan of this type of metal, but I feel the genre suffers from an overabundance of generic, run-of-the-mill groups that all sound the same. Thoughts In Reverse are bit different though; they don’t reinvent the wheel by any means, but this is top-notch, super-solid music that I couldn’t help but totally enjoy.

At the end of the day I think Sightings is a terrific debut effort and I eagerly await more music from these guys in the coming years. At the time of this writing, Thoughts In Reverse are unsigned, but I can’t imagine they will be for long. Sightings has a lot to offer metal fans of all genres and I feel it is well worth checking out.
