Set for release on April 20th, Derelict are primed and ready to unleash their latest and greatest slew of neck-snapping songs, Perpetuation, unto the unsuspecting and unprepared world of metal. This new album is just plain brutal and in no time at all fans, both old and new, will be screaming the band’s name! In an effort to always show off the best in new music, we’re so stoked to bring you the world premiere stream of the Derelict’s new album. Press play, tell your friends, hit Like and re-Tweet and most importantly, support the group!
Hailing from Montreal, Derelict mixes the brutal and technical elements of the Quebec metal scene with listenable structures and melody, resulting in an unforgiving yet accessible package. The band’s trademark sound has led to comparisons with the likes of Death, Strapping Young Lad, and The Black Dahlia Murder. In 2009, the release of Unspoken Words through Year Of The Sun Records marked a starting point for Derelict with several national tours, increased media exposure and greater critical acclaim. Now in 2011, Derelict is back with a revamped lineup, a fresh perspective, and new finely-honed songs that get to the core of what the band is best at.
