A Bullet For Pretty Boy – “Revision:Revise”
Good thing I’m not a pretty boy or I may have been too scared to write this review. When I first heard A Bullet For Pretty Boy’s album Revision:Revise all I could take from it in the end were the kickdrums. Sure, the band had some gnarly breakdowns, aggressive shouting and high sung choruses, but in the end it was all generic sounding.
The one standout point of Revision:Revise is the kick drums performed by Taylor Kimball. He tears up each and every song pounding the skins from beginning to end. Kimball made the music sound heavier and more aggressive with the mere use of his legs.
Revision:Revise is not a unique album, but it’s still worth checking out. I recommend it to anyone into this new era of post hardcore or drummers who just love hearing some intense kicks.
