Gear Review: Cryptopsy and Mythosis guitarist Christian Donaldson on his Custom Guerilla Guitar

Christian Donaldson is known both as a producer or musician throughout the metal scene. As a musician, he loves his guitar riffs heavy as f*ck, but how do you achieve such a sound? Check out Christian’s review of his custom Guerilla Guitar.

What one piece of gear do you use to obtain your signature sound?
Christian: My Guerilla guitar.

What about it makes it so important to you?
Christian: It was made for me with specifications that fits my playing.

What are the major pros and cons?
Christian: Pros: It sounds heavier than any other guitars I’ve played before. Cons: I really like that guitar, so I’m a bit scared to flip it around my neck or go nuts on stage with it.

How long have you had it, how do you use it, would you ever change it?
Christian: I’ve had it since 2009, and I would only maybe change it for a Guerilla 7 or 8 strings.

Any final thoughts or comments on the gear.
Christian: I’m really looking forward to hearing those guitars with the new pickups they put in, “Barenuckles”.
