“Hear Me Now” the title track off Secondhand Serenade’s third album is a duet with Automatic Loveletter’s Juliet Simms. What starts off with a dark piano intro soon morphs into a pleasant listen. The song definitely shows growth from previous tracks and overall is a great listen. Catchy right from the start, you can’t not listen to it. The lyrics are relatable, and the song is just beautiful. It has such an intense build up and when the duet kicks in, it just takes you to another level, very theatrical.
If you liked Something Corporate in the past, then you will like Secondhand Serenade. They have this undeniable talent, and hit you where it hurts. John Vesely is a master at his craft… Poetic, delightful, and magical. Though it’s only been a year since their previous release, you still tell this album wasn’t rushed. Moreover, you can discern that new boundaries were crossed and lines were blurred. [ END ]
