Album Review
The Product – “Break the Silence” [EP]
I likey! Can I just end the review at that? I was immediately, pleasantly surprised with the vocals; vocalist BJ Perry is darn good! The first song and title track “Break the Silence” pleased me vocally, the second just as much and all the way through the rest of the CD. Initially, when I saw the cover art, I was thinking: “okay this could be an okay effort.”

The first song and title track “Break the Silence” pleased me vocally, the second just as much and all the way through the rest of the CD. Initially, when I saw the cover art, I was thinking: “okay this could be an okay effort.” Well I tossed the disc in and it blew me away.
In case you haven’t discerned yet, I really like this band. Musically, they’re a cross between, pop rock and rock. Think Mariana’s Trench without the pop. It is definitely commercial, but it is really good and is bordering on “too rock for pop.” I’m not sure how The Product are not signed yet, but it is very possible that it won’t be long before this happens. Between their rock power ballads and their undeniable musical talent, this band and release is win win. I am thrileed with how catchy and energetic this album is, the only drawback I can think of is that it’s an EP. I want more, but lest we not take for granted what we have.
I almost feel sad that I am left with only an EP. It is a perfect teaser however, and if other fans (new or old) are like me, they are for sure eagerly awaiting more music. This is probably the shortest review I have done in ages, but truthfully speaking, good things really do come in small packages. In about a 5X5 inche CD package that is! [ END ]
