Album Review
Slunt
One Night Stand (2006)

Slunt, what can I say about Slunt? Dirty grunge rock that totally kicks some ass. I’ve seen some pretty gross lead vocalists that would probably scare the shit out of me in person, but not Abby… she rocks! Besides she could probably take out Chris and Aaron (PGA’s founders) in a heartbeat. The girls got some balls, and what a stage presence.
And although this piece of info doesn’t matter, she’s married to none other than Brett Scallions (Ex Fuel, The X’s).
The lead off track “When You Like It” is so catchy, so carefree and fun… it draws you in. The whole album is old-school, dirty rock that would make give the guys in Avenged Sevenfold a run for their money. With titles like “Mr. One Night Stand,” “When you Like it,” and “Dirty Blonde” clearly the band has got sex on the brain. A word to Aaron of PGA, pick this up, it just might get you laid… LOL… or just looking at the photos… anyway!
The name Slunt may keep them off the mainstream play lists, but really who the fuck cares? I get the impression the band is happy where they are, playing dirty rock clubs all over the world.
There is this old saying of “Sex, Drugs, and Rock N’ Roll” and clearly Slunt have brought the sex back to good ol’ RnR. The songs are true and real and should have come with a free pass to Whisky A Go Go.
The lyrics are dirty, the vocals are sweet yet gritty and very sultry, the guitar riffs are hard and fun. This band is here to rock, so go check them out, and for anyone who books the band, send them over to Canada, it’s about time they rocked this joint!
9 lap dances out of 10.
P.S, I bet Abby’s balls are bigger than yours! [ END ]
