Interview with 36 Crazyfists frontman Brock Lindow

Alaskan born and bred, 36 Crazyfists have made quite a big name for themselves. The band has toured all over the world and already played alongside such notable acts as Candiria, God Forbid, Chimaira, Diecast, Hotwire, Five Pointe O, Twelve Tribes, and Killswitch Engage among many others. Vocalist Brock Lindow recently took some time to tell us what he is up to these days while his band is currently in the studio working on a follow up to their masterpiece A Snow Capped Romance.

Who are you, what band are you in, and what do you do in the band?
Brock: Names Lindow… Brock Lindow.

Let me say, I loved A Snow Capped Romance. I think it was one of the best albums I’ve heard in ages. I hear you have a new album hopefully due out in early 2006 on Roadrunner; correct?
Brock: Yes our new record comes out in April 06… can’t wait!!!

What will the new album be like? Are there any big changes in the band since the last album?
Brock: Well we just tried to kick as much ass as possible with this one…. It’s meant to cause riots….

Any ideas for a possible title?
Brock: The title is going to be released as a Christmas present to the friends….

Your band has only one guitar player. Why only one? Any chance of adding a second?
Brock: Two guitar players I guess is a little more prominent these days, we’ve been a one guitar unit for what seems like forever so I guess we only know one way… I prefer it this way.

Where was “A Snow Capped Romance” recorded? Is the new record going to be recorded in the same studio? what about a producer for the new record? same as the last or someone new?
Brock: Snow Capped was recorded in Davie, Florida. And the new record is being recorded in Jersey City, New jersey

What was it like shooting the video for “Bloodwork”. I think its one of the most interesting video’s i’ve seen. It looked like it would have been a fun video to shoot.
Brock: It was a hoot, pretty silly and kinda showed a different side… We like to laugh and be nerds so it was a great time.

What was your first tattoo? How old were you? and why did you get it?
Brock: I was 18 and I got it because it signifies my brotherhood with my best friends… a group of us all have it.

Brock Lindow VS Brock Lesnar (former WWE Champion). Who would win in a cage match? you or him?
Brock: That dudes pretty monstrous. But I got say me with a hockey stick of course.

Brock: Why am I so hung over?
