Leander Rising have released their US debut album, Heart Tamer digitally today on Sony Music. Recorded in Hungary and mixed and mastered in Sweden by Jens Bogren (Opeth, Amon Amarth, God Forbid, Katatonia, Soilwork, Kreator), with artwork by Robert Borbas (Metallica, Suicide Silence, Bring Me The Horizon) and a guest appearance by Jeff Loomis (ex-Nevermore) on the track “Six Feet Under”, this new album is just plain amazing. PRC Music is very proud to announce a new addition to its roster of bands, Hungarian death metallers Sin Of God. The group has no problem beating the big canons of the genre at their own game! Steamrolling along like the best of the American and Polish death metal scene, they can give Behemoth or Nile a run for their money!

I recently had the chance to speak with Máté Tilk, singer for the Hungarian metal band Subscribe, about their new disc Bookmarks. This is a band I was recently turned on to and I have quite honestly been listening to them ever since. At its foundation, they are a metal band (a strong one at that), but dig a bit deeper and you’ll find many musical layers at work that make their music multidimensional and so much more. Here’s how the conversation went.

Reneteg is the latest album from Hungarian metal band Thy Catafalque and while extremely experimental in nature, this is definitely solid metal at its core. The guitar-driven songs have numerous ambient, ethereal breaks running through them and more than the occasional electronica vibe as well. Even more interesting is the fact that the whole album is sung in Hungarian; which though it might turn some people off, really doesn’t take away from the album’s enjoyability.
