King Bee – “Buzzkut” [Free Song Download]
Brighton, England’s King Bee are, very suitably, a fuzzy rock duo and you should grab a free download of their latest single “Buzzkut”!
Brighton, England’s King Bee are, very suitably, a fuzzy rock duo consisting of musicians John-Paul Townsend (drums) and Ed Lamb (guitar, vox). On February 23, 2017, the guys released their latest helping of music, the 2-song single Buzzkut, which can be grabbed on Bandcamp. To use the guys’ words, “propulsive stoner jams full of singalong, chunky riffs and driving drums” are what you can expect so why not get familiar with their music via a free download of “Buzzkut”!?
Said Ed Lamb of the new single: “‘Buzzkut’ is written from the perspective of that stereotypical English hooligan type dude. We found it interesting that one haircut had so many subculture connotations – so we thought we’d try and write a song from the angle of a dude rocking a buzzkut. The kind of guy who gets tanked up and goes out looking for trouble. We aimed for a track with a chunky groove to go along with the concept. We think we’ve accomplished that. The end riff is probably my favourite thing that I’ve written so far and John’s drum fills in that section really set it off. Have a listen and come down to a gig if ya dig….”
