Chasing Dragons – “Faction Prologue” [EP] [Album Review]
Yorkshire alt-metallers Chasing Dragons provide a gritty taster for what’s to come from the band with their new three track EP. Read our review here…
Judging by the three tracks on their new EP, Leeds alt-metallers love their big American modern rock acts. Offering a taster of what is to come from the Yorkshire outfit, the three tracks herein pay homage to everyone from Avenged Sevenfold to Halestorm, all mixed up with a good old-fashioned dose of British grit!
With a sound packed full of galloping riffs, screaming solos and lashings of fist-pumping alt-metal, the UK group are led from the front by their imposing female vocalist, Tank. Fronting the band with a bellowing set of vocal chords, Tanks’ singing has you by the balls right from the first moments of EP opener “Devil In Her Eyes” and don’t let go, guaranteeing your attention through to the closing moments of “Whitehorse” some thirteen minutes later.
So, if big, ballsy anthemic alt-metal is your thing, Faction Prologue will tick all those boxes and certainly leave you with an appetite ready for more of the same.
