The Socks – “Electric War” [SoundCloud Song Stream]
With the release of their self-titled debut full-length now just two weeks away, French fuzz rock merchants, The Socks, are pleased to tease another new track with “Electric War.” Said the band of the song, “This is the ‘speed rock’ song of the album. Deep Purple is one of our major influences and when we wrote ‘Electric War’ we were really thinking about songs like ‘Speed King’ or ‘Fireball.'”

Scheduled for release this Spring via Small Stone, The Socks was recorded and mixed by Raphaël Cartellier at Studio Cartellier, France, mastered by Christopher Goosman (Early Man, Sasquatch, Dixie Witch, Solace et al) at Baseline Studio in Ann Arbor, Michigan and beckons its listeners with nine tracks of riff-heavy, road- tripping, booze-binging goodness chock full of gristly vocal serenades and glassy-eyed grooves.
