Album Review
Edge Of Paradise – “Perfect Shade Of Black” [EP]
Perfect Shade Of Black is the latest offering from the California-based, female-fronted hard rock act Edge Of Paradise. One look at the credits and I knew this was going to be something special; an album produced by Bob Kulick and Brett Chassen and mixed by Michael Wagener brings with it certain expectations. Let me be the first to say that Perfect Shade Of Black meets and exceeds all of said expectations.

Production quality aside these five songs have an old-school vibe with a refreshing melodic spin to them. The EP consists mostly of guitar-driven mid-tempo hard rocking tunes that include talented yet tasteful guitar solos. The exception is “Ghost,” a terrific string laced ballad that really showcases Margarita Monet’s vocal ability.
Perfect Shade Of Black is a slick-sounding record full of tight, well written tunes that is sure to please hard rock fans everywhere.
