Wildlife’s critically acclaimed 2010 release Strike Hard, Young Diamond carved a place for the band in the hearts and minds of fans across North America. The band has now paired up with legendary producers Peter Katis (The National, Sigur Ros, Interpol) and Gus Van Go (The Stills, Hollerado, Priestess) to work on their upcoming sophomore album …On The Heart (due out February 26th) through Easy Tiger/Wax Records. Today the band premiered their first song “Born To Ruin” so you could get a little taste of what is to come!
A fixture in the Toronto music scene, Wildlife is known for their great sound and amazing high-energy shows. With a killer combination of infectious songs and irresistible stage presence, there’s no doubt that this band walks away with new fans-for-life after every set. Over the past year, they have shared the stage with Young The Giant, Hollerado, J. Mascis and many more, before hunkering down in the studio to record their highly anticipated sophomore album. The band had this to say about the new material. “This album is about the Heart. Everything it does for us, to us, how it hurts us, helps and keeps us going. It pushes life through our bodies and feeds our souls. We put our hearts into making this thing, completely.”
