Album Review
Michael Schenker – “Temple Of Rock”
As a fan of Michael Schenker since his early days with UFO and MSG (Michael Schenker Group) back in the early Eighties, I was stoked to pick this one up. I was one of the many fans that were captivated by this man’s sheer talent; he’s a brilliant guitarist who inspired a generation of players. Over the years, I’ve heard a few other things he’s done, but this is the first time in a long while that I’ve actually listened to a full CD worth of his tunes.

Let me tell you, Temple Of Rock, is quite spectacular. With lots of special guest appearance (Carmine Appice, Leslie West and Don Airey to name just a few), the musicianship on this disc is seriously ridiculous. The super-catchy, hard rock songs are accentuated by some unbelievable shredding that will just leave you astounded.
The thing I like the best about this disc though, is that it’s not just a guitar shred disc. While there is indeed a lot of that, there are also some great tunes at heart. This is pure, unadulterated talent from one of the best guitarists in the business. Temple Of Rock is well worth picking up when it hits the stores.
